A superb pair of wall brackets from the nineteenth-century. Made from molded terracotta with green glaze. There is a mermaid and a merman sheltered under scallop shells. They are probably from Vallauris - perhaps made by the Jerome Massier et Fils family - although unsigned. Minor chips and the arms of the merman have been repaired.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
